Pernia's Pop-Up Shop steps into AR

The online fashion website Pernia’s Pop-up Shop launches “Sketch to Reality”, a new Augmented Reality online shopping facility.



“Sketch to Reality” will allow customers to choose from existing pattern sketches and then customise them on their computer screen, add reference photos as needed, choose the desired details, and then create their own custom order. The website’s new feature experienced a busy start and Qureshi herself reported that, “We have received over 50 detailed queries and closed about 10 orders in the last two days” after the launch of the service.

Pernia’s Pop-up Shop had been initially trialling the service with its premium customers before launching to the public this June. Qureshi stated that there had been international demand for such a service and the website itself offers international shipping.

The website hosts over 100 designers including Outhouse, Nikasha, and Anju Modi and is the exclusive retailer or Pernia Qureshi’s own brand line. Along with clothing, the site also sells jewellery and accessories and has an in-house magazine.

Pernia’s Pop-up Shop was launched in 2012 by fashion entrepreneur and actress Pernia Qureshi. The company is registered as Pernia Qureshi Consultancy Pvt Ltd and is based in New Delhi. The private company has an authorised capital of 100,000 INR.
