The Paytm AI Cloud for India is designed for start-ups, developers, and enterprises and offers business centred apps designed for cloud computing, workflow automation, payments, messaging, and customer engagement.

Paytm has made a sizeable investment of Rs 250 crore in the business and has partnered with China’s Alibaba with which it will also soon offer a messaging solution in partnership with DingTalk.

“Every new-age organisation needs better collaboration and workflow automation tools to become more productive and efficient,” said Paytm’s Vice President Sujit Kumar Mishra in a statement to the press.

“Paytm AI Cloud packages all these into one; saving organisations time, money and resources, so they are able to better focus on building products that change the world.”

Mishra also told the press that Paytm’s data is all stored locally on Indian servers. The business is currently urging the government to make local data storage a must for India’s e-commerce businesses as it creates e-commerce regulations although foreign-based businesses are against the idea.

“At Paytm, we have always ensured the highest standards of customer data privacy and security,” said Mishra.

“Our customers’ data is processed and stored locally in India with no access to any third party or investors.”
