PNG Jewellers opens first franchise store in Aundh, 20 store openings planned

PNG Jewellers has opened its first franchised jewellery store in Aundh and chose the occasion of Dussherra on October 18 for the opening event. The brand plans to open around 20 stores in the next two years.

Pune’s ITI Road in the suburban shopping district of Aundh is now home to the first ever franchised PNG Jewellers store. The brand has added this to its total of flagship stores and chose Aundh for its first franchise store opening as the area has grown significantly in recent years and there has emerged a strong demand for the brand, according to a press release.

The store, which is located on the ground floor, is 2,000 square-feet large and houses PNG Jeweller’s range of gold, silver and diamond jewellery. The store has been designed to look like other, flagship PNG Jewellers stores and a manager has been employed to ensure this quality control.

“We have received an overwhelming response for our franchise business announcement from all over Maharashtra,” said Saurabh Gadgil, the Chairman and Managing Director of PNG Jewellers, in a press release.

“I am glad that all the efforts we’ve been taking for implementing the franchise model for PNG is now turning real. With Pune being our key market, our first franchise outlet kick starts an exciting journey for us where we are looking at unlocking the entrepreneurial potential in Maharashtra. PNG Jewellers’ rapid expansion phase has begun with this store on this auspicious occasion of Dussherra, we hope to grow bigger and better in coming years.”
