PC Jeweller Q4 net profit up 7 percent to Rs 118 crore

Indian jewellery major PC Jeweller saw its profit rise 7 percent to Rs 18 crore ($2.7 million) for the quarter ended March 2018. The company had posted net profit of Rs 110 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The company’s revenue dropped 4 percent to Rs 2114 crore for January-March quarter of 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 2,209 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.
 
The jeweller also managed to lower its expenses for the quarter from Rs 2057 it had incurred in the said period of the last fiscal to Rs 1980 crore in FY 18.

PC Jeweller had earlier announced that its board has agreed to the share buyback plan and will re-purchase around Rs 424 crore ($63.7 million) worth of shares.
