Nikhil Thampi, Nishka Lulla participate in Lakmé Fashion Week's ‘Fashion Talks’

After revolutionizing the fashion scene in India, Lakmé Fashion Week and IMG Reliance has started another unique concept called ‘Fashion Talks’ wherein experts from the fashion industry discuss various aspects of fashion in the country.
 

India’s gen next designers Nikhil Thampi and Nishka Lulla participated in the inaugural edition of ‘Fashion Talks’ held recently in Mumbai alongside IMG Reliance’s Head of Fashion Jaspreet Chandok.
 
The three were engaged in a panel discussion that was moderated by stylist Ekta Rajani. The designers shared their experiences and challenges in the industry while Chandok highlighted the business side of fashion in India.

Jaspreet Chandok in a statement said, “The fashion landscape in India is constantly evolving with young designers who bring fresh and new ideas to the fore every season at Lakmé Fashion Week. We are happy to debut Fashion Talks at WeWork which serves as the perfect place for creators to meet and collaborate.  This was the first of many such immersive discussions which we plan to have on an ongoing basis”
 
Nishka Lulla, added, “Fashion Talks by Lakmé Fashion Week and IMG Reliance at WeWork was a great initiative as there are so many young designers who want to know more about the business of fashion as it is the need of the hour.”
 
 “It’s been six years since I have been a part of the fashion industry. My career’s starting point was at Lakmé Fashion Week, so I have an emotional attachment with the platform. Everyone perceives fashion industry to be very glamourous, but very few know of the challenges we face”, said Nlikhil Thampi.
 
Nikhil and Nishka also showcased some of their best creations at the event.
