Alistair McGeorge, non-executive chairman of New Look, has informed the company that he intends to step down, after three years with the retailer. Effective May 2014, McGeorge will step down from his role on the board in order to pursue other opportunities.

Alistair McGeorge said: “I have greatly enjoyed my time at New Look but I feel that it’s the right time to seek new challenges. I am very proud of what we have achieved and I am fully confident that the company will continue to flourish under Anders and his team. I wish all my colleagues the best for the future.”

Tom Singh will become interim non-executive chairman until a permanent successor is appointed.
