The new Neeta Lulla store, scheduled to open next week and her first in the capital, will mark the start of the designer’s five year plan to gradually open stores across India. Lulla chose the DLF Emporio mall for the location, which houses a wide array of Indian and international luxury designers. The space is large enough to house the brand’s entire collection.

The store’s interior was designed by Rajeev Achari and he has filled the space with Victorian furniture, chandeliers, and tapestries to create an opulent effect designed to reflect Lulla’s heavily embellished traditional wear. The store will focus on Lulla’s bridal wear and include the most recent collections which include the Legacy of Qom, Edwardian Vanity, Benarasi Charm, and Timeless Markanda.

Speaking about her new store, Lulla told Vogue India: “It’s like the birth of a new baby... a lot of mixed feelings of excitement, anxiety, stress; but somewhere, this complements the inner creative instinct I possess.”

Although Lulla has not previously had a brick and mortar store in Delhi, she explained that residents of the city make up 45 percent of her customer base and so the store may be set for success.
