Bangalore-based ShopX transforms retailers into a technology-enabled platform allowing them to service many customers. The platform also gives retailers access to new products, new services, and platform services (like credit and payments).

To boost its omni-channel model, Myntra is planning to invest significantly in small stores by incentivising shopkeepers who are willing to promote Myntra with signages and offering shelf space to display the etailer’s lifestyle products.

ShopX with its unique model is expected to help Myntra expand the overall addressable digital commerce market size significantly with its technology as it will give consumers an option to order products displayed on shelves through an app on the shopkeepers’ smartphones.

Myntra which already has 2000 small shops under its MENSA network is planning to add more1, 000 small traders in the coming year.  The long term goal is to take the offline play to over 15,000 outlets by targeting shop-in-shops in some larger stores.

Myntra has been actively enhancing its offline model across all fields. Last month, the company announced that it aims to fulfil around 70 percent of its order deliveries through its MENSA (Myntra Extended Network through Store Activation) network that comprises of more than 2000 small shops, stores.

The company is also planning to open brick and mortar stores for its beauty segment and private labels in the coming year.
