Additionally, the company is expecting a three-fold rise in traffic on its platforms, resulting in a million shipments during the four-day event.

The ‘Myntra Fashion Upgrade’ campaign, which begins on Tuesday, will allow shoppers to upgrade their wardrobe by giving away their old clothes. The customers that donate their old clothes will be rewarded with Myntra points, which can be used to shop on the platform.

All items donated will be collected from the customers by Myntra staff at the time of delivery and handed over to not-for-profit organisation Goonj, which will then refurbish the items received and distribute to the needy across the country.

Commenting on the intiative, CEO, Myntra-Jabong, Ananth Narayanan in a statement said, “Myntra Fashion Upgrade offers fashion shoppers a very unique opportunity to upgrade their wardrobes with the added satisfaction of giving away a small portion of their wardrobe for a cause. We expect more than 2 million units of clothing, footwear etc to be handed over by shoppers and over 1 million people participating in the event.”

Myntra’s is also looking to give a push to its private labels like Roadster, HRX, All About You, Anouk and Dressberry during the event by launching new exclusive collections to cater the 1 million customers expected to shop on the platform.
