Myntra eyes 5X growth in sales during BBD sale event

India’s leading online fashion platform Myntra is expecting a 5x growth in sales during Big Billion Days (BBD), the flagship event of its parent firm Flipkart scheduled from September 20 to 24.

The fashion portal is gearing up for the sales by partnering with brands in order to strengthen its portfolio across all segments. It will offer a curated collection of fashion and lifestyle products from some of the leading domestic and international brands this Big Billion Days.
 
The company will give a push to its private labels like Roadster, HRX, All About You by offering higher discounts and is expecting at least 40% sales from its in house brands.

Jabong will also be a part of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days this year giving it’s an edge over its rival Amazon as the trio of Flipkart, Myntra and Jabong control a approximately 70% of India’s online fashion market.
 
Talking about Big Billion Days, Naresh Krishnaswamy, Chief Revenue Officer in a statement said, “We are participating in Flipkart’s Big Billion days for the third year in a row and are expecting a 5x growth in sales. We are offering our customers the season’s latest collection at attractive prices, making it an event that cannot be given a miss, ahead of the festive season. We are expecting to sell 3 million products over the 5 day sale.”
 
Myntra has scaled its fulfillment capacity to 5X of normal days to provide the best experience to customers. The company has also doubled its warehouse and logistics capacity to enable faster deliveries.
