Outdoor Voices launched in 2014 and has quickly developed a following among millennial and Gen Z shoppers with a strong digital presence. Now the brand has tapped Mickey Drexler to serve as chairman of its board of directors.

“Mickey has a deep enthusiasm and respect for what we're building and I'm excited to make him part of the team,” Outdoor Voices CEO and founder Tyler Haney said in a statement.

After ending his more than 10-year tenure as CEO of J. Crew, Drexler founded his own investment firm Drexler Ventures, which recently raised $9 million in funding for Outdoor Voices. Drexler is also an investor and Board Director for Warby Parker and remains Chairman of the Board for J. Crew.

Since its inception, Outdoor Voices has raised more than $20 million in funding from venture capital firms and collaborated with the likes of APC. Known for its strong digital presence, the trendy activewear brand recently hosted a pop-up shop at The Grove in West Hollywood.
