Mcnroe to expand product portfolio, ramp up distribution network

Mcnroe Consumer Products Pvt Ltd, the owner of leading deodorant and personal care brands like Wild Stone, Secret Temptations and Heaven’s Garden, is looking to expand its product portfolio to boost its revenues.

The company will be entering the lucrative men’s grooming segment and will also ramp up its distribution network across the country with focus on tier 2, 3 cities.
 
With the diversification of its product portfolio coupled with expansion across the country, Mcnroe is looking to treble its sales revenue to Rs 1200 crore (approx $185 million) by 2022. The company had posted sales revenue of Rs 408 crore for the financial year 2017-18.
 
“We will enter new categories that could include men’s grooming. Due diligence is still on. Expansion could be organic or inorganic, depending on resources,” Narendra Kumar Daga, MD, Mcnroe, told BusinessLine.
 
“Distribution will also be ramped up to 600,000 points by the end of this fiscal from the current 340,000. It will increase focus on tier-II and III cities and smaller towns,” Daga added.
 
Mcnroe had earlier stated that it will invest about Rs 150 crore in technology, R&D and expansion during this financial year.
 
Mcnroe was founded in 1993 and is based in Kolkata, India. The company currently has its presence across India with 3, 20,000 dealers and also exports its products to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Nepal.
