Max Fashions, which is currently in its twelfth year running and eleventh year in India, recently celebrated the opening of their 200th Indian store in Chennai with no plans to stop expanding. The brand is now present in 100 cities in the country and they have announced that they aim to bring that total up to 120 with their brick and mortar format.

“The growth of Max continues to be as strong as ever… we have crossed 200 stores and by the end of FY2017-18, we will be adding another 50 stores,” said Vasanth Kumar, the Executive Director of Max Fashions India. This will bring their store count to 250 and secure their place as one of India’s big brands.

Alongside increasing their offline store count, Max Fashions has also announced that they plan on increasing their e-commerce store’s distribution network to reach 500 cities. More and more brands are ensuring that their distribution networks reach non-metro cities as demand there for branded garments is swiftly increasing. The brand’s e-commerce store has also just launched the new athleisure collection and is also running a Christmas themed promotion.

Max Fashions was launched in the UAE in May 2004 and it has become the largest fashion chain in the Middle East in the affordable section of the market. The brand is present in 16 countries including India where it now has 200 stores.
