Adding to its extensive list of collaborations, Vans has teamed up with Marc Jacobs on a series of new designs for its classic slip-on styles. The American designer asked 17 artists to put their spin on the classic shoe.

The Marc Jacobs x Vans collection includes the work of many artists who have worked with Jacobs in the past, such as florist Ariel Dearie, model Jazzelle Zanaughtti and manicurist Jin Soon Choi. Each artist utilized different materials in their designs, including textiles, flowers, markers, paint and more. Jacobs customized his own pair of sneakers for the collection as well.

As the collection will be available exclusively in New York City and Tokyo, it also includes many shoes designed by Japanese artists, such as fourth-generation textile artist Saian Nishikata, DJ Yuka Mizuhara and painter Toru Kamei.

The Marc Jacobs x Vans collection will be available on Friday at Jacobs’ New York and Tokyo shops. Just 125 pairs of the shoes will go on sale. However, the two brands will also create a sweepstakes to win a pair of shoes by British multimedia artist Julie Verhoeven. Each pair will come with a set of black and red felt markers, the same markers Jacobs used to design his pair of sneakers.
