The Dutch top model, who recently featured in several Chanel runway shows, is the new face of the French fashion house's 2017-2018 autumn-winter eyewear campaign. In the images for the new campaign, Karl Lagerfeld sought inspiration in an industrial setting.

Karl Lagerfeld, creative director at Chanel, has chosen a series of black and white images in a metallic décor to present the new frames in the fashion house's 2017 autumn-winter eyewear collection. Luna Bijl, a rising star in the world of modelling, wears the new pieces along with some of the most striking outfits from Chanel's 2017-2018 autumn-winter ready-to-wear collection.

A play on contrasts, Chanel's new collection of optical frames and sunglasses mixes retro and futuristic styles, along with rock 'n' roll and more conservative looks. As always, the emphasis is on modern elegance, with models devised for every woman.

Among the creations presented in the campaign, the double-bridge aviator frame is remarkable for the black nylon thread wound around the arms, as is the most futuristic style, a butterfly optical frame with mirror clip-on shades.

Luna Bijl takes over from Lottie Moss, the face of the French fashion house's 2017 spring-summer eyewear campaign. The Dutch top model has notably featured in shows for Chanel's 2017 autumn Haute Couture, 2018 Resort, and 2017 autumn-winter ready-to-wear collections.
