Local designers exhibit collections at Hyderabad's Cocktail Fashion Show

Sunday saw an array of designers from Hyderabad display their wares in the spring/summer edition of Shamshabad’s “Cocktail Fashion Show”.


Hyderabad saw an array of designs by local talent on the runway on Sunday - Top Telegu TV


Students from the International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and young designers from the region showed collections on the runway. Some of the designers featured include Jyostna Yadav who showed a wedding wear collection, Mrinali Adesara who showed a resort wear collection inspired by jellyfish, and Shritika Agarwal who showed western style garments inspired by roses. Vijay Sharma presented a collection of ethnic inspired wear at the event and many other designers were also involved. Many students from INIFD also participate in Lakme Fashion Week which is also currently running in Mumbai.

The INIFD Regional Director, Sanjay Saraswat said, “As the students researched on the concepts, they came with many innovative techniques of creating new stylish designs” as he praised the young designers for their hard work. INIFD CEO, Anil Khosla, recently visited the Hyderabad campus of the fashion school to celebrate the second edition of their Fashion Scout event at the last London Fashion Week.

Shamshabad, Hyderabad’s neighbour, was chosen as the venue for the fashion show which was organised by Jyostna Yadav. The event was sponsored by Amrut Kumar Jain, Raghunandan Yadav, Gopal Baldwa, Shanker Lal Sharma, and Naveen Associates. The show’s audience included Sreedhar Rao, the well-known Tollywood actor, and fashion industry professionals from the region.
