The online fashion retailer LimeRoad expects to achieve profitability this year as it continues to grow by ten percent month-on-month.

LimeRoad, which was launched by Suchi Mukherjee in 2013, has reported that its revenue has grown by 11 times over the past few years. The business has not released any financial figures but also claims that, as it has experienced ten percent month-on-month growth for quite some time, it estimates that it will achieve profitability this year, which it also claims will be a first in the online fashion market. The business reported shipping one million packages in the month of April alone this year.

“We will hit full profitability, as in our profit and loss statement will show a profit, by the third quarter of this year,” Mukherjee told Forbes India. “From day one, we were focussed on being a sustainable business in terms of growth and profitability.”

LimeRoad recently launched India Design Cell, a programme for young Indian fashion designers. The programme allows designers to sell their clothing through LimeRoad’s 4,000 sellers. The programme currently has ten partner designers and the aim is to expand to 100 in the next few years, according to Mukherjee.

LimeRoad’s current promotion is in partnership with the latest Bollywood blockbuster Veere Di Wedding. A number of items featured in the film are exclusively for sale on LimeRoad including dresses, tops, and skirts.
