Lifestyle brand which is currently present in over 270 stores across 80 cities in India has launched the new gift card to widen its customer base by giving them an option to redeem the vouchers at physical outlets or on its online portal and apps.

With most retailers and e-commerce firms offering heavy discounts the fashion market is becoming all the more competitively priced, which has also resulted in losses for many companies. The trend of gift cards is slowly catching up in India and Lifestyle is looking to cash in on that trend by entering this space.

“As commerce becomes more seamless, it is important for retailers to ensure that consumers have the privilege of choice without channel restrictions. With the all new Lifestyle Gift Card, we will be able to reach out to more shoppers and serve them with an enjoyable experience,” Kabir Lumba, Managing Director Lifestyle International said in a statement.

Lifestyle has big plans for the Indian market and will be investing Rs 60 crore (approx $9.3 million) to expand its physical presence in the country.

Lifestyle is a part of the Dubai-based retail and hospitality conglomerate the Landmark Group. Lifestyle had entered India in 1999 and has soon become one of the leading retail companies in the country.  Lifestyle store brings together five concepts under one roof - Apparel, Footwear, Children's Wear & Toys, Household & Furniture and Health & Beauty.
