Lakme opens its 400th beauty salon in India

Indian cosmetics brand Lakme has expanded its retail presence in India with the opening of its 400th salon in the country at Gariahat, Kolkata.
 

The new salon located at Ramani Chatterjee Road was inaugurated by leading Bengali actress Parno Mittra. The unisex salon will offer beauty and grooming services to customers.
 
Commenting on the launch of its 400th salon in India, Pushkaraj Shenai, CEO, Lakmé Lever, in a statement said, “This is a huge milestone for us, and we are excited to be launching the 400th Lakmé salon branch in Gariahat, Kolkata.”

“We are proud to share that we have kept our promise of taking the Lakmé Salon – Runway Excellence across the length and breadth of the country by adding 2 salons every week to our current beauty footprint in more than 125 cities. It is a great moment for all of us at Lakme Salon and we look forward to adding more smiles in the lives of people of Kolkata,” he added,
 
Lakmé is India’s top cosmetics brand, which is owned by Hindustan Unilever. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan endorses the brand.
 
The brand also organises the Lakme Fashion Week in collaboration with IMG Reliance Pvt Ltd, which runs twice a year and was started in 1999.
