For LFW’s Sustainable Fashion Day, Ka-sha presented a collection with Craftmark. The collection included floral embroidery made out of waste materials and garments were heavily layered for a nomadic look. The collection used textiles woven by the KWWO that came in a variety of weights and textures.

Oversize printed polka dots were mixed and matched to add a playful touch to the collection and dots were also painted on the models’ bare feet. The collection was bright with pink, blue, orange, red, and green and tassels added yet more texture.

Ka-sha is based in Pune and was launched in 2012 by Karishma Shahani-Khan after she graduated from the London College of Fashion. The brand works towards creating zero waste and has a team of 26. The brand retails from its dedicated e-commerce store and recently took part in the Friday Sari Project.

Lakmé Fashion Week is currently running from August 22 to 26 at the St Regis in Mumbai. The fashion week’s winter festive edition is sponsored by IMG Reliance, Nexa, Nokia, Tencel, and Etihad among others.
