British luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone London has forayed into the offline market in India by opening its first brick and mortar store at the Palladium Mall in Mumbai.

Jo Malone London, which was previously available in India at online stores like Amazon India and Snapdea, is looking to expand its offline presence in India as it sees potential for growth in the country.
 
The store at the Palladium is a masterpiece with heritage pieces of furniture with special facilities like hand arm massage to customers at the Tasting Bar. The boutique also has fragrance stylists who offer sessions on how to combine fragrances, and help you pick.

"Jo Malone London is the epitome of British luxury and style, and we are thrilled to launch in India-a country bursting with history, energy and a genuine love for fragrance," Rohan Vaziralli, General Manager, Estée Lauder Companies India, said in a statement.
 
The overall size of the perfume industry of India is currently estimated at Rs 2000 crores (approximatley $315 million), which is projected to grow by 50% to Rs 3000 crores (approximately $472 million) by the next five years, according to a study by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Fragrance companies are looking to cash in on this growth by boosting their presence in the country.
 
Jo Malone London was founded by British perfumer Joanne Lesley Malone from in 1994 and was acquired by Estée Lauder in 1999. The brand specialises in luxury perfumes, scented candles, room scents, and bath products. The brand has flagship boutiques in around 50 countries.
