Info Edge India invests five crore in Happily Unmarried

Happily Unmarried, the personal care and beauty brand, has just received a sum of five crore rupees (approximately 0.75 million dollars) in funding from Info Edge India.

The injection of funds into Happily Unmarried by Info Edge India was made during the brand’s recent fundraising exercise. Happily Unmarried have stated that they will use the funds to repay existing debt.

“The aggregate shareholding of the company post this additional investment and completion of fund raise exercise by Happily Unmarried from other third party investors would be 47.21 per cent on fully convertible and diluted basis,” said Info Edge India in a statement on the investment. Regulatory filings showed that Info Edge India used one of their wholly-owned subsidiaries to invest the money.

Happily Unmarried Marketing Private Limited was founded in 2003 and sells a range of beauty, personal care, and lifestyle products priced in the affordable section of the market. Founded in New Dehli, the brand is now based in the Okhla area of the city. The company’s products are available through multi-brand retail outlets across India and on their own e-commerce store.
