Indian designers to show at Araaish Pret Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition, Dubai

The Indian fashion benefit event Araaish’s Dubai branch will put on the Araaish Pret Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition on February 10. A host of Indian designers will display their wares.

Araaish Pret, which has been running twice a year in Dubai since 2011, will hold its latest edition this Saturday at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The event has free entry for all and over 50 fashion brands, many from India, will showcase their designs which will also be available for the public to shop.

Some of the Indian designers who will return for the event’s latest season include Janavi, Ritu Kumar, Neerus Emporio, Anshu Jain, and Vikram Phadnis. Designers Maya Parekh, Deepika Anand, Anoli Shah, and Whimsical by Shica will also feature. A section for Pakistani designers will include Carnival by Gulzeb, Uzma and Afsheen, and Anaqa Jewels.

This season, the event will have a special focus on destination weddings and the Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty is scheduled to attend as the special guest. Spa treatments and refreshments will also be on offer to visitors along with homeware and lifestyle products.

Araaish was founded by siblings the Isha Mehra, Rahul Kadri, and Mana Shetty as a tribute to their mother, late Mrs. Vipula Kadri. The first Araaish event took place in October 2007 at the Worli in Mumbai.
