ISPO Awards handed out

The major European sports trade show ISPO, which will take place from February 5-8 in Munich, presented the ISPO Awards for the 2015-2016 season. A 46-member jury from twelve countries selected six products in six categories: action, outdoor, ski, performance, Asian Products and health and fitness (a new category).

La Sportiva’s extreme mountaineering boot, the G2 SM, won the award in the "Outdoor" category.


In the "Action" category, it was the Luuv brand that won the Award for product of the year with it actions cam and smartphone stabilizer. La Sportiva took the "Outdoor" category with its extreme mountaineering boot, which was developed in cooperation with Simon Moro: the G2 SM.

In the "Ski" category, Marker prevailed with its ski bindings, while Fitbit’s watch Surge won for "Performance" product of the year, and Tomahawk’s indoor bike, the IC7 Indoor Cycle, claimed victory in the new "health and fitness" category. Meanwhile, Treksta’s shoe, with its hands-free lacing system, won Asian product of the year. 

Finally, Picture Organic won out for the eco achievement award for its Hubber Helmet. All of these products will be on display at the show in hall B1.
