IHGF Delhi Fair to host 44th edition this month

This autumn, the Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) in New Delhi will run from October 12 to 16 at the India Exposition Mart Limited and textiles, fashion, and homeware will feature at the event’s 44th edition.

Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), the IHGF Delhi Fair will host 2,750 exhibitors across their product categories that include fashion jewellery and accessories, wellness, homeware, and textiles. The venue boasts over 190,000 square feet of exhibition space and will run over the course of five days.

The fair is designed to be a business platform for wholesalers, retailers, fashion designers, importers, and potential franchises. The fair, which has been running since 1994, aims to bring together markets and people to further the trade promotion of handicraft exports.

Some of the fashion related product categories that will feature at the event include bags and leather goods, natural fibre textiles, Zardozi and Chikankari handmade garments, scarves, and other accessories. Just some of the exhibitors confirmed for the event include Indian Silver Inc., Aggarwal Textiles, Images India, S S Textiles, Apaar, Saathi Textiles Pvt Ltd., Craftex International, and Lemon Craft.

An international buyer’s lounge will be set up to allow buyers and suppliers to hold informal meetings away from the hustle and bustle of the stalls. It is estimated that a total of 5,000 international visitors will attend the event which would make it one of the largest so far for the EPCH.
