ICMEI and AAFT host fashion summit in Noida

Ahead of the upcoming Global Fashion and Design Week’s second edition, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) held an international fashion conference in Noida.

The Global Summit on Skill Development in Fashion Design Industry at AAFT’s Marwah Studios in Noida’s Film City took place on March 26 and was supported by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The summit included delegates from around the world and was divided into two sessions. The first session was an introduction to the topic and the second involved participation from the international delegates as well as presentations.

Countries represented at the summit included Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Niger, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritius, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Belarus, Cambodia, Guatemala, Turkmenistan, Kenya, South Africa, and India.

The AAFT School of Fashion and Design supported the event and the delegates were all given lifetime membership of World Peace Development and Research Foundation by Sandeep Marwah. Marwah himself was awarded the title of Global Art and Cultural Minister by the delegates in turn.
