Gucci expands its social media presence with the launch of #GucciGram, a sort of virtual lab bringing together works by contemporary illustrators and artists who reinterpreted famous paintings using Gucci Caleido and Gucci Blooms, the prints featured on the fashion label's new collections. The initiative allows artists to freely express their creativity.

"#GucciGram is a starting point from which artists can narrate different stories that share the same type of freedom," Gucci stated in a post on its Instagram profile. "Nowadays creativity often originates from and finds its voice in digital media, a key resource for visual culture. Through the #GGBlooms and #GGCaleido prints, Gucci highlights our cultural reality. These days we are all on the web, all the time, and the way we enjoy visual arts has changed too."

Among the remarkable images published on social media there is the reinterpretation of Francesco Hayez's painting 'The Kiss', a mash-up by Paris-based visual artist Chris Rellase using the Gucci Blooms motif, and collage works by Kalen Hollomon, Amalia Ulman, and Spanish illustrator Ignasi Monreale. The project is hosted on a dedicated website created by the fashion label, at gucci.com/guccigram.
