Gucci has strengthened its childrenswear line. The in-depth make-over initiated by the Kering group's brand a year ago, under the aegis of its new creative director, involves the junior line too.

Gucci Kid was launched in 2011 and is produced in-house, and has already adopted a profoundly different look thanks to the contribution of Alessandro Michele, who was first involved with the line in the Spring-Summer 2016 season.

The luxury fashion label wishes to become stronger in children's fashion, and therefore turned to one of the sector's top specialists, Sandrine Delloye, who joined forces with Gucci last September and will debut in the role of design director for childrenswear with the next winter collection, still under Alessandro Michele's creative supervision.

Delloye comes from Burberry, where she acted in a similar role for six years. Before Burberry, she worked for Marc Jacobs, Bonpoint, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch and Petit Bateau. In other words, she has a perfect track record!
