The Gen-Nex fashion show is set to take place on 25th August and will feature shows designed to introduce and promote fashion designers from across India.

The one-day fashion show was conceptualised and organised by Neha Ankit Sarna, the owner of Gen-Nex India, stating that she wanted to promote fashion designers in order for them to gain more recognition, especially “new talents”. The theme of Gen-Nex Fashion Show will focus on Indo-Western collections and aims to show off the designer’s concepts behind their designs.

The event will host the Delhi-based makeup artist, Neha Valecha, and choreographer to India Fashion Week, Ketan Bhatia. One of the designers whose collection will be featured at the event is Ruchika Hurria who will present her brand Ruh Couture. Other designers are still to be named for the event.

The event’s main sponsor is Big Boy Toyz, a division of Magus Cars Ltd., and founded by Jatin Ahuja. The company specialises in buying and selling used luxury cars and, while based in Gurgaon, Haryana, also has a showroom in New Delhi. The fashion show will be held at the Piccadily Hotel in Janakpuri, New Delhi which is connected to fashion through its own shopping centre hosting luxury brands.
