G-Star opens its first store in India

G-Star sets up for the first time in India. The Dutch denim brand opened this summer in Mumbai, according to the local economic press. G-Star's new store extends just over 100 sq m on the second level at Palladium, an upmarket  shopping mall in the West India city. 

This opening should be the first of many. Last year G-Star signed an agreement with Genesis Luxury for the distribution and marketing of its products in India.

The partners are planning to open approximately thirty stores between now and the end of 2019. Genesis Luxury is a specialist in the introduction of Western brands. The groups works chiefly with Paul Smith, Burberry, Michael Kors and Bottega Veneta.
