The new Flipkart campus, which has a seating capacity of 7,300 people, aims to streamline operations by bringing the business’ Bengaluru workforce to one location. Flipkart’s Head of Marketplace, Anil Goteti, told the Press Trust of India: "We had taken this decision to consolidate our many offices across Bengaluru to one location. This was largely aimed at improving operational efficiency and to also benefit from the resulting synergy between various teams and functions."

Flipkart has not made an official statement about how much the Bengaluru campus has cost them but the idea is that the investment will be made back swiftly by savings in logistics costs achieved by having the business operate out of one location in the area. Goteti stated that the new campus, "supports cooperation, collaboration and flexibility," which will in turn help to increase profit.

A total of around 6,800 employees of Flipkart’s total 7,600 will operate out of the new Bengaluru campus for now and they will span all sectors of the business. "We believe centralisation will promote increased productivity and engagement through efficient ways of working," explained Goteti.
