Leading Indian designers like Rina Dhaka, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Rimzin Dad, Ujjwal Dubey and Gautam Kalra will be participating in the event, which aims to provide students with the knowledge and expertise of the fashion industry.

Nandita Abraham, CEO, Pearl Academy, said in a statement: "Through this initiative many more students can get first hand advice and experience with some of the great designers of India."

FDCI President Sunil Sethi added: "Through one to one interaction with renowned designers, the students will get an opportunity to understand the operational aspect of the fashion industry keeping them abreast with the evolving trends. This will open up a plethora of options for them within the fashion domain. I am glad to be part of the process of nurturing young talent who will define the future of fashion and design in the coming years."

The FDCI had partnered with Pearl Academy earlier this month to launch a series of programmes and events in the coming months including an Idea Generator event and Designer’s Club.

A web-series entitled Brand Moods is also currently in production and it will feature three fashion designers talking to students from the academy about how to successfully grow a fashion label.
