The brand’s Director, Kuntal Raj Jain, recently said in a statement: “We are looking towards expansion in new markets. Currently we are working with major e-portals including Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra, Jabong, Limeroad, Paytm, and others. To expand our online business, we have also started our own website where we offer free home delivery and CoD [cash on delivery] and online payment support services.”

Jain also mentioned that, like a lot of brands in India, they are looking to explore the more rural market of Tier 3 cities as they feel there lies much potential. Expansion plans are not limited to India and Jain mentioned that they are “looking to expand in the exports market to further the growth of our business in Gulf countries.”

Duke is also expanding its product categories in order to push growth. One of the brand’s most recent launches was their footwear brand, Step Ahead. “We plan to expand our product range by entering into the footwear segment. The expansion will create a centralised, multi-product engine for wholesale and retail distribution, supporting Duke’s long-term business growth in India,” said Jain.

Duke Fashions was launched in 1966 in Ludhiana, Punjab, by Komar Kumal Jain who started making t-shirts under the name “Deekay Knitwears”. Jain then expanded into casual wear and, in 2003, his son Kuntal Raj Jain, took over the family business.
