After launching the brand in 2012, Jesus opened a showroom in New Delhi and spent five years selling his unique blend of Indian and African style to the city’s residents. The brand is known for its bespoke tailoring using luxury fabrics and predominantly makes suits for both men and women.

Jesus said of his planned move to Africa, “I love India very much but my plan is to make Diamond Ark a leading brand in Africa; and also a major player in global fashion industry. I will surely miss Indian market, Indians and Africans in India, and so I promise to visit here again in 2019.” Jesus also cited the recent birth of his son as a reason for the move.

John Uche Jesus was born in Nigeria but moved to India to launch his career in fashion. After studying at the JD Institute of Fashion Technology, he broke into the Indian fashion scene, becoming well known for his use of print and tailoring. Diamond Ark Lifestyle by John Uche Jesus is the fashion label and Jesus also founded Diamond Ark Impex Pvt Ltd.
