Designer Aakansha Agarwal launches Checkmate collection

Designer Aakansha Agrawal has unveiled her latest collection ‘Checkmate’ under her label Gulaal Creation that is targeted at the urban women of India.
 

The Checkmate collection includes long maxi gowns, layered dresses and jackets. The Rajasthan based designer has used Indian fabrics like cotton, Ikat, mul-mul and linen for this collection.
 
Talking about her latest collection Designer Aakansha Agarwal told FNW, “We believe in clothing that feels good on Skin and looks absolutely pretty when adorned. The feel of the clothing is more important than the look. Checkmate is amalgamation of contemporary designs with flowy and Breezy western silhouettes set in Gingham weaves and stripes”.

The collection is priced at Rs 1500 (approx $25) onwards and available at the designers online store Gulaal Creations.
 
Aakansha choose designing over her family’s jewellery business and launched Gulaal creations which has been inspired from the multilayered cultures Jaipur.
