Design One to hold festive fashion event in Mumbai

From September 21 to 22, the Design One wedding show will take place in Mumbai’s Reliance Jio Garden for its festive edition.

The two day long event is tailored towards future brides and buyers and will feature bridalwear, fashion, jewellery, footwear, accessories, gifts items, and home decor, among other categories. The event has a strong focus on the upcoming Diwali festival and everything necessary for organising lavish festivities for the event will also be available.

Some of the fashion brands that will feature at the event include Harsh Harsh, Eka, Swati Vijaivargie, and Payal Singhal to name but a few. In terms of jewellery, designers Apala, Shobha Shringar, Bapalal Keshavlal, Vijay Jewellers, and Hemchand Mohanlal among others will show their wares. Therefore, although bridal- wear will feature heavily at the event, ready to wear fashion will also be a big draw.

Design One is promoted by the annual fundraising efforts of the women of the Sahachari Foundation. In this way, the event mixes shopping with altruism and a group NGOs have also been given free booths from which to sell their products.

The event was launched in 2009 and now runs around three times a year both in India and overseas. Design One will also hold a similar event this year in Dubai from September 30 to October 1 which also promises to include a host of Indian designers and lifestyle brands.
