Culture Gully at Kingdom of Dreams showcases ethnic jewellery

​The Culture Gully “cultural extravaganza” festival that ran in New Delhi on December 26 showed the regional diversity of the country, with a special focus on ethnic jewellery and homewares.

On December 26, Culture Gully hosted a live arts and crafts village, which displayed accessory making techniques from across India and ethnic jewellery from across the nation was available for visitors to explore and shop. There was a focus on handcrafted and traditional jewellery that was intended for winter gifting and shoppers could browse designs by a variety of small sellers.

The event also included live cultural dance and music performances and specials in the venue’s many themed restaurants. The 14 state pavilions in Kingdom of Dreams showcased the different regions of India and the event was a mix of shopping fair and cultural showcase.

Culture Gully at the Kingdom of Dreams describes itself as an “indoor street of India” and is 100,000 square feet large and is located in Sector 29, Gurgaon. The complex has an array of restaurants and themed bars. Culture Gully was first opened in 2010 by the Minister of Tourism and was described as the first live cultural centre in the country.
