A select group of students was chosen from Creator Institute’s fashion design programme to design a collection that was shown on the runway on the last day of IBFW. The show, which took place at the Marriott Hotel and Spa in Goa, was sponsored by Corona, Como, Volkswagen, and Gio Collection.

The students were given different themes for the collection and used the same textiles and colour palette within each theme to give the garments continuity but individuals made their mark by choosing the silhouettes and tailoring. The first theme featured black, red, and printed white textiles with simple, structured shapes. The second theme was characterised by pastel hues and origami-esque tailoring, and featured both mens’ and womenswear. The final theme was eveningwear focused and included rich, metallic brocades and more traditionally tailored garments such as lehengas.

Creator Institute of Designer is a design institute and school in Surat, Gujarat and was founded in July 2012. The school teaches fashion design, apparel merchandising, and interior design. The school was also part of IBFW’s official press conference that featured Pallav Ojha, the Director of IBFW.
