“We are expecting 25-30% sales from the launch of Anuswara. The new range will enable us to garner higher margins as well as high valuations in the long term.We have seen an increase in demand for contemporary ethnic wear on our portal, and realised that it’s an opportunity,” Manoj Gupta, co-founder, Craftsvilla told the Economic Times.

Anuswara marks the third in-house brand launch from Craftsvilla after two in-house brands Avanya and Jharoka launched by the platform last year.

“Each of these brands caters to different customers across various segments and caters to their varied requirements,” Gupta said.

With the new brand, Craftvilla aims to build the category of stylish ethnic fashion as an independent entity.

Founded in 2011 by Manoj and Monica Gupta, Craftsvilla is funded by venture capital funds including Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Global Founders Capital and Apoletto.
