Colorbar has been growing at 48 percent year on year according to its managing director, Samir Modi. The brand is currently gearing up to enter international markets and, in order to put itself on a par with other international beauty brands, is also upgrading its logo and packaging, which should be completed by the end of the year. The brand aims to appear more luxurious without having to increase prices and, as one example, will change its packaging colour from silver to rose gold.

The beauty brand will open 20 more stores this year and the average size will be from 400 to 500 square feet. The stores will reflect the brand’s new aesthetics and will also have custom makeup selection features. The brand launches around 250 products each year and will relaunch its website at the end of the month to facilitate online shopping.

In the next two months, Colorbar will expand into the men’s grooming category, a market that is fast growing in India. The brand will introduce new products for men such as skincare and beard care products. These new product category launches are expected to help the brand to achieve its target of Rs 550 crore ($82.7 million) in revenue for this fiscal year. The brand hopes to further increase this yearly revenue total to Rs 1,000 crore by the 2020-2021 financial year.
