Chique opens tenth store at Forum Mall, Kolkata

The Western inspired modest wear brand Chique has opened its 10th brick and mortar store in India in the Forum Mall in Kolkata and launched its autumn/ winter collection at the opening.

Chique’s 10th flagship store is spread across 450 square feet and houses the brand’s range of womenswear. The store’s décor is European-inspired and open plan with charcoal walls and a bright white ceiling and floor. The brand debuted its autumn/winter collection in the store which included an increased amount of natural fabrics in a move towards more sustainable fashion. The store includes day wear, evening wear, and accessories.

Chique aims to open a total of 100 stores in the coming three years and is also expanding its presence in multi-brand outlets in which it is present across India. The brand is also expanding online through partnerships with multi-brand platforms such as Myntra and is eyeing international expansion, having started to build a presence in the UAE.

Chique was launched in 2015 by Siddanth Gupta who gained his experience in the industry working at his family export business which has been running for 20 years. The brand also has stores including in Mumbai, Delhi, Udaipur, and Gurgaon, Saket, and Kurla. The brand’s customer demographic is aged between 30 and 50 years old.
