The majority of attendees came from Hong Kong, numbering 942 buyers. The show also attracted 500 professionals from China and 114 from Japan. Other countries represented were Australia, India, Italy, South Korea, Taiwan, Russia and the United States.

The organizers of the event, UBM Asia and the CFNA (China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce), also lauded the success of the event's conference sessions, which were defined by two topics: "Solutions to exporting cashmere products to western countries" and "Developments and trends in the cashmere trade."

China annually produces about 200,000 tons of cashmere fiber, 70% coming from Inner Mongolia, which alone produces 50% of the world’s cashmere supply. The importance of this activity prompted the Chinese authorities to launch a trade show dedicated to the sector. The next edition will be held from September 25–27, 2013.
