Carine Roitfeld has just signed a partnership with Hearst to produce her bi-annual CR Fashion Book. This news comes after Roitfeld ended her publishing relationship with Fashion Media Group. This partnership will allow Hearst to take the reins of CR Fashion Book’s digital distribution and online advertising, as well as their print production & distribution.

All editorial content will still be run by CR Fashion Book’s current editorial staff. Roitfeld’s new alignment with Hearst will allow for the monetization of CR Fashion Book’s online and social media content. All CR Fashion Book’s content will be syndicated with the rest of Hearst’s digital media portfolio.

In addition to Hearst taking over CR Fashion Book’s digital home, the CR Fashion Book will now be printed through PubWorX. PubWorX is a printing and distribution venture by Hearst and Conde Nast

CR Fashion Book is run by Roitfeld’s son Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld, although Carine Roitfeld acts as editor-in-chief. Jorge Garcia, who has been with the magazine since 2012, will still act as publisher. Carine Roitfeld was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris from 2001-2011. Roitfeld launched the CR Fashion Book in May 2012. Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Gigi Hadid, and Beyonce have all been on recent covers.

Fashion Media Group houses such titles as V Magazine, VMan, and Fashionista. Magazine mega-house Hearst is home to Vogue, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and many others.
