Canadian brand Canada Goose, specialist in cold-weather jackets, has acquired more of a fashionable image over the last few seasons. According to the Canadian press, the brand currently sells more than 200,000 parkas a year, each at an average price of 700 euros.

Next year, for the first time ever, Canada Goose is launching a line for the springtime, consisting of a 7-piece capsule collection. The brand has nevertheless chosen to stay on familiar ground by using its famous ‘Canada Goose Arctic Tech’ material, produced exclusively in Canada. "The collection will expand the reach of the brand this Spring and is completely in line with our quality outdoor clothing", commented Canada Goose CEO Dani Reiss.

Among the new pieces are hooded, normal and sleeveless jackets in male and female versions, each named after different cities in Canada, such as Richmond, Beaconsfield or Granby. The brand has also added a feminine touch to the line with the addition of a skirt named Summerside. All items are available in black and white colours, with stainless steel buttons or even badges, all available from March 2012 onwards at selected retailers. For the time being, the Canadian brand is not giving any signs of launching new products for the Summer.
