Canadian outerwear brand Canada Goose is moving forward with its global expansion plans with the opening of two new flagship stores this fall and a larger e-commerce reach.

The company will open its first European flagship in London, U.K., this fall and will equally expand its e-commerce presence in seven new European markets, including Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Austria.

Canada Goose also announced on Thursday the opening of a new flagship store in Chicago, U.S, increasing the brand’s store count to four.

The Canada Goose London flagship store will be the brand’s largest retail space to date, and will be located on Regent Street, an iconic UK shopping destination. In Chicago, the brand will open its doors on Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue.

“Opening our first European store is not only a milestone for Canada Goose, but it’s turning a dream into reality. London and Chicago are world-renowned shopping destinations and I’m proud to bring our Canadian heritage, experience and unparalleled product to their historic streets,” said Dani Reiss, President & CEO, Canada Goose, in a news statement.

Both stores will feature Canadian design elements such as marble quarried in British Columbia and will include Canada Goose’s seasonal collections and collaboration lines.

Originally founded as a manufacturer in 1957, Canada Goose became a retailer in 2014 with the launch of its first e-commerce site in Canada, followed by the United States in 2015 and the U.K. and France in 2016. Meanwhile, the luxury artic apparel maker opened its first branded store last fall in Toronto and New York. The company says they plan to open 15 to 20 standalone stores by 2020.

Though Canada Goose is currently sold in over three dozen countries through multi-brand retailers, 68 percent of the company's 2016 revenue came from Canada and the United States. Still, the brand’s growth rate is impressive. In the last five years, revenues have increased by more than 450 percent.

Their latest expansion move also follows just two months after Canada Goose’s $340 million initial public share offering.

The company is based in Toronto, Ontario.
