Brandzstorm will open five Pierre Cardin stores under licence starting with Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, according to Ujjval Saraf, Brandzstorm’s managing director.

Brandzstorm will also expand Pierre Cardin's presence in multi-brand outlets in which it already retails such as Lifestyle and Shoppers Stop.

Pierre Cardin aims to expand in India with an omni-channel approach and so, alongside brick and mortar expansion, it will also expand online with Brandzstorm.

“The ladies handbag market size in India is being pegged at Rs 5,100 crore [$767 million] and is expected to grow to Rs 7,900 crore by 2023,” Saraf told ET Bureau.

“Indian consumers are looking for international brands in this segment, which is why we are investing heavily in this category.”

Brandzstorm India was launched in 2009 in Mumbai and has tied up with a number of international fashion brands for distribution in India. These include Steve Madden, Furla, and Tonino Lamborghini.

The business also recently replaced Reliance Brands as the designing, manufacturing, distributing, and retailing partner of Kenneth Cole in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Brandzstorm has also recently tied up with Giordano International for clothing and accessories distribution in India.
