At the Baselworld luxury watch fair -- which runs until March 27 in Basel, Switzerland -- Swiss watchmaker Breitling launched its "Squads" initiative, creating teams of ambassadors who all excel in a specific field. Charlize Theron, Brad Pitt, Adam Driver and Daniel Wu form the first such squad, which recognizes talent from the movie industry.

With this initiative, Breitling is celebrating the bond between people -- whether famous or not -- brought together by a shared endeavor or a common goal. In time, the brand plans to reveal several "Squads," covering sectors including sport, music and the arts.

"At Breitling, we believe in the power of a team, the strength of a group, and the mutual identification of a common target, which ultimately leads to success," says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. "...Our squad members -- world-famous or not -- will be absolute masters in their respective fields. I am very much looking forward to seeing them soon, going on individual or shared challenges in one of the Breitling environments."

The first "Squad" is dedicated to the movie world. South African actress Charlize Theron -- who won an Oscar for her performance in "Monster" -- has been signed up to this first Breitling dream team, along with actor and producer Brad Pitt. They are joined by Adam Driver, who starred in the recent "Star Wars" movies, and Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu.

Breitling states that each of the personalities in its "Squads" will be involved in individual and/or collective missions for the Swiss watchmaker.
