Biba strengthens retail presence in South India with 9th outlet in Chennai

Biba, an ethnic apparel brand, has expanded its retail presence in southern India with the launch of its 9th store in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

The store is located at VR Chennai Mall and spread over an area of 1,300 square feet. The Biba store will house all label sub-brands at the store, which includes Anarkalis, Peshwai kurtas, skirts, tunics, kurta dresses and will have separate sections for Biba girls and Biba jewellery.
 
Commenting on the launch, Siddharth Bindra, Managing Director at BIBA said in a statement, “With festive season around the corner, we thought this is the perfect time to open a new store, showcasing our latest collection and special festive range. The south market has always been welcoming to us and we are sure that our new offerings will be cherished by our patrons.

“We hope this store will meet the discerning needs of the customers in the city and will provide an unmatched shopping experience,” he added.
 
Biba plans to add 200 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across India in the next three years and is eyeing Rs 600 crore revenue (approx $87.4) in the current financial year.
 
Biba currently has 250 exclusive brand outlets across the country and also available on all leading e-commerce websites.
