Be U salons enter Bengaluru market, plans to tie up with 100 salons in 2018

​Delhi based company Be U Salons has entered the Bengaluru market by partnering with 5 salons across the city under its brand name and plans to partner with 100 more salons by the end of the year.

Be U, the technology driven salon company provides backend and professional support to salons across the country. It is looking to expand its base across the country in the coming years to cash in on the booming beauty and grooming segment in the country.
 
The Indian Beauty Industry has been growing at a rapid pace with salons mushrooming across the country and Be U is looking to tap this industry by partnering with salons offering them their services in technology to boost its customer base and achieve profitability.

The beauty and grooming market is currently estimated to be around $6.5 billion and expected to touch $20 billion by the year 2025.
 
Vikas Johri, Chief Executive Officer, Be U Salons, told BusinessLine: “We are excited at expanding into Bengaluru. We have signed up five salons in various parts of the city to operate under our brand name... Be U aims to hand-pick only 100 salons in its first year of business in the city."
 
The beauty and grooming market in India is dominated by big brands and leading salon chains which gives companies like Be U the opportunity to tap the unorganised market by offering standalone salons the necessary support and lead them to the path of professionalism.
 
Explaining the offering of Be U Salons Johri said, “Standalone salons suffer from lack of backend support, small size, inadequate professional knowledge regarding running a salon business, and are constrained for capital. This is where we come in”.
 
“We help reduce product consumption cost by 30-40 per cent, helping our partner-salons offer consumer’s prices that are on average 30 per cent below market prices. We automate the operations of all our partner-salons and put in place a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). We help reduce manpower attrition by training the staff, and implementing a mandatory incentives programme based on performance and skill improvement, which leads to trained, motivated, and performing employees. Thus, Be U Salons simplifies a complex business for the salon owners through use of tech and enhances their efficiency to achieve profitability.”
 
Be U was founded in 2016 by Johri, Jigyasa Gupta and Shailendra Kumar Nagvani. It currently has over 50 salons in the Delhi-NCR region.
