Ayurvedic beauty brand Sova launches in India

The luxury beauty and wellness brand Sova has just launched in India and their full range of Ayurvedic products are now available online.

The Sova brand was created by Vasavdatta (Vasu) Ghandi, a graduate from New York’s FIT, and her niece Sneha Daftary, a professional hair stylist. H.I. Gandhi, the Founder of Millennium Herbal Care, decided to back the brand and the three went on to develop a range of beauty products that are designed to mix India’s Ayurvedic heritage with modern science.

Vasu Ghandi said about her reasons for creating the brand: “There was nothing existing in the Indian market that boasted a balance between natural and scientific elements. We at Sova have seamlessly blended ancient Ayurveda with modern aesthetics to suit the hair and skincare needs of Indian women.”

Sova’s current product range includes shampoos for treated hair, oils for thinning hair, hair serums and masks, and body washes and lotions. The brand also offers a selection of gift packages aimed at brides to be and for gifting occasions. Sova has just launched their product range on the Indian e-commerce beauty store Nykaa and is adding more and more products to their own e-commerce store as well.

The brand also recently joined forces with the NGO Manpasand which aims to empower women in India. A proceed of the profits from the brand’s entire product range go towards supporting the NGO.
